Hafidha Rukayat Bello
We are proud to celebrate Rukayat’s remarkable achievement of memorising the Qur’an by the age of 15 — an accomplishment made even more inspiring by the fact that she completed this independently over just four months.
This reflects exceptional discipline, sincerity, and a deep connection to the Qur’an.
From a young age, her parents planted the seed by inspiring a love for the Qur’an and creating an environment where Qur’an recitation was a central part of daily life. This strong foundation played a vital role in nurturing her motivation and commitment, highlighting the powerful impact of a Qur’an-centred home.
Rukayat is now being supported by Ustaada Hala, helping her carefully cover and strengthen her memorisation while guiding her through her first Ijazah in Qirāʾah, Ḥafs ‘an ‘Āṣim. This stage focuses on accuracy, revision, and building a strong foundation before progressing further in her Qur’an studies.
To all our students, remember that memorising the Qur’an is a journey of patience, consistency, and sincerity. Focus on correctness over speed and support one another — every effort with the Qur’an is an act of worship.
Parents are reminded that encouragement, positive example, and duʿā can have a lifelong impact. Together, as a madrassa community, we aim to nurture confident, motivated young learners who carry the Qur’an with excellence and humility.
